Uses:

Purchased From:
Purchased from Bunnings (source: Flemings Nurseries)
Date Planted:
Planted on 20/10/2017
Aspect:
Planted against an east-facing wall
Harvest:
February
Harvest dates:
First harvest, from 10/02/2020 to 20/02/2020 (100 almonds), Unfortunately, I was not able to net the top half of the tree, which was about two and a half meters tall. As a result, the birds ate approximately half of the crop.
Pruning:
Pruned the top off in autumn 2020 to a height of 1.8 meters to make netting easier.
Fertiliser:
When planted, and each year in early spring, I use an organic fruit tree fertilizer (Richgro Organics Fruit and Citrus Plant Food) along with seasol. The tree requires a good soaking when dry. It is mulched with woodchips.
