Allium porrum

Planted: In February seedling purchased from local garden centre are planted

Harvest: Maturity 12-14 weeks. July

Care:

Uses: Potato and leek soup, casserole, roast, saute, pasta dishes, omelets or scrambeled eggs, pizza, with broad beans.

Notes: Leeks are frost hardy. Leek are usually only used in the Bushcroft kitchen during winter.
